Table runner Dots, 2013
The embroidery on this table runner was made with a 2-yard Schifflimachine. It uses the machine’s specific qualities of repeat patterning as a base for the design. Every repeat is embroidered in a different colour. The dots are spread out like confetti. It is only the overlapping of the repeat that creates little flowers.
The fabric used for this embroidery is a piece of antique linen that was found at a flea market in Italy.
